What would it take to see a world transformed into a place where when we see one another, our first thought is; this is my brother; this is my sister; this is a member of my family? Should it ever really matter; What country we were born in or the color of our skin? Should it ever really matter; What religion we were born into or today choose to practice? Should it ever really matter; Who we vote for, what side of town we live on or what sexual orientation we happen to be? If we desire connection, unity, and peace with all people, let us begin by knowing that there is only one thing that should bind us together; That is; that we all have a beating heart and this reality is all that is necessary to ultimately, connect us all. |
